Paprika paste

Easy and tasty red paprika paste.

Ingredients

  • 2 red peppers
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2-4 cloves of garlic (depends on taste)
  • salt, peepper, smoked paprika or chilli for taste

How to do it

On the frying pan heat up the oil and prepare finely chopped onion until golden colour. Add chopped peppers and fry until soft. Add garlic and spices and cook for a while until water released by peppers evaporates (the longer you cook the denser your paste will become). When happy with consistency, blend with kitchen blender.

Tip: You can grill the peppers first in the oven to enhance the taste. You can also peel the skins to achieve a smoother paste.
